THE RULES OF THE SITE
Terms and Conditions
These terms apply when you use Draft Day. By creating an account or playing, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy and the How to Play guide, which forms part of these terms.
1. Who we are
Draft Day is run by Mark Pruden in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). You can contact us at hello@draftdays.co.uk.
2. Who can play
- You must be 18 or over to create an account or play.
- You may have one account only. Accounts are personal and cannot be shared, sold or transferred.
- You must give accurate details and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
3. Draft Coins
- Draft Coins are a virtual currency used only inside Draft Day. They have no cash value. They can never be withdrawn, cashed out, sold, exchanged, gifted or transferred to another player, and you must not sell or swap your account to pass them on.
- Every account gets a one-time welcome gift of free coins, and you can claim free coins each week. Free drafts with no entry fee are always available.
- Where the Draft Coin shop is open, you can buy coin packs with real money. The price and the number of coins are shown before you pay. You must be 18 or over to buy coins.
- Coins you buy are added to your balance straight away. By buying, you agree to this and accept that you lose your 14-day right to cancel once the coins are added. If a purchase goes wrong, for example you are charged but don't receive your coins, contact us and we will put it right or refund you. This does not affect your other legal rights.
- Coins only pay for game entries and in-game extras. There are no real-world prizes: winning a game only adds Draft Coins to your balance.
- Prize pots are paid out in full to the winners. Each award is rounded down to 0.01 coin, and any fraction left over is kept by Draft Day.
- We may correct a balance that is wrong because of an error, a bug or incorrect match data, or remove coins gained by breaking these terms.
- Draft Coins, including coins you bought, end if your account is closed for breaking these terms or if Draft Day stops running. If we close Draft Day, we will give you reasonable notice.
3a. Staying in control
- You can set a monthly spend limit on your account page. Lowering it works straight away; raising or removing it takes effect after 24 hours.
- You can take a break of 24 hours up to 6 months. During a break you cannot buy coins, claim free coins or join coin drafts. A break cannot be ended early.
- If you are worried about how much time or money you spend on games, talk to someone you trust or contact a support service such as GamCare.
4. How games and scores work
- Scores come from live match data supplied by a third-party data provider. Data can be delayed, incomplete or later corrected, and scores may change as a result.
- Results settle after full-time data checks, as described in How to Play. We may delay, void or re-settle a game if the data is wrong or a match is postponed, abandoned or cancelled.
- Free drafts can include bots, which are always clearly labelled. Bots never join drafts with a Draft Coin entry.
- Our decision on a result is final, but you can tell us if you think something is wrong using "Report a problem" or by email.
5. Fair play
You must not:
- use more than one account, or play on someone else's account;
- work with other players to fix or influence a result;
- use bots, scripts or other automated tools, or copy data from the site in bulk;
- exploit a bug instead of reporting it;
- choose an offensive or misleading display name, or harass other players;
- try to break, overload or get unauthorised access to the site.
If you break these rules we may remove Draft Coins, void results, or suspend or close your account.
6. Content and trade marks
The Draft Day site, game design, text and code belong to us. Football data is used under licence from our data provider. Draft Day is an independent game and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Premier League or any football club. Club and player names belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.
7. Availability and changes
We provide Draft Day free and on an "as is" basis. We try to keep it running smoothly but cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, pause or stop any part of the game, including Draft Coins, at any time.
8. Our responsibility to you
- Draft Day is a free game for entertainment. We are not responsible for any loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
- Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
9. Closing your account
You can delete your account at any time under My account → Settings → Delete account, or ask us to close it by emailing hello@draftdays.co.uk from the email address on your account. We may close or suspend an account that breaks these terms. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add new features. We will change the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you on the site before they apply. If you keep playing after a change, the new terms apply.
11. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
